TEACHERS'  LOUNGE

A 07'09" video explains the assets of the Ivy League

now might have become their flaw

The prestigious Ivy League Colleges (Columbia, Princeton, Harvard...) are used to generating America's elite : from President Obama  -and the First Lady-  to all the judges in the Supreme Court, now. This exclusive educational system is meant to give birth to nearly cloned and moulded winners : a system that's more and more criticized by the Americans. To such an extent, that learning from failure... starts being taught there !

Sylvie Laurent, a French senior lecturer -and an America specialist-  teaching in Paris 'Sciences Po', decodes the Ivy League : though she speaks French the document sounds interesting  :-)

Cornell  belongs to the Ivy League : it is in Ithaca -New York-

and was founded in 1865. Your can see ivy   covering part of its buildings...
