Here is what you mustn't do in a cinema : watch Mr Bean,
he is forbidden to do various things.
He cannot drink nor eat...

... until he gets THE soda and THE pop-corn :o)

"It's the most wonderful time of the year"...
and it's today !

... though some fathers seem to enjoy it much more  than their kids !

A baby's staring at us...

... while the voice of a black man starts listing the various situations
when his skin does not change colour.

Sometimes publicity targeting have no commercial goal...
And it happens to show smart adverts like this one :
it was part of an anti-racism campaign in the football field.

It looks as if these magpies had nothing
                            to do but
scoffing at a poor man :
watch this commercial to discover how  :o)

 > > >  Magpies  are black and white birds which not only are common in France,
 but also in every continent.

Some of them are attracted to small and
shiny objects
 and
thus have the reputation of being thieves.

Gioacchino Rossini  (an Italian composer from the XIXth Century)
thought of their reputation to find the title of one of his operas,
 "The Thieving Magpie" !

scoff at (V) : make fun of...,  laugh at...
shiny (adj) : glossy, that shines    [you know the verb... it's irregular !]
thus is a word introducing a consequence [a bit like "so", "consequently",
                                                                                           therefore"....]

  ... what is 'beauty' ?!
Have a look at this Dove campaign video :

Food for thought, don't you think ? ;o)
Especially dedicated to my niece,
a teenager who needs neither long making up
nor artificial stuff to look gorgeous...   :-}

Language is a high-speed train...

Mac Millan ELT (English Language Teaching) show
how words turn into graphics in this nice video advert
for their latest dictionary :
