The French equivalent to "DIY" (do it yourself) is "bricolage".
A "do-it-yourselfer" -or "handyman"- is therefore someone
who likes to make practical/technical things work -by himself...
and yet, is no specialist... un "bricoleur" quoi ;-)
Most of web surfers become "tech handymen" ; sometimes specialists
or people working in the computer science fields are called "geeks".
Well... if you are a geek, maybe you are going to give us tips and explain !
But see... I'm no geek : thus, from time to time,
I'll merely suggest tips
that might help casual "web handymen" ;o)
casual (adj) : [here] occasional : "casual web handymen" happen to solve technical
web problems -from time to time, not regularly].
