St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City

"It was a sea of green, kilts and bagpipes on Fifth Avenue on Saturday as big crowds gathered under a warm sun for New York City's 251st-annual St. Patrick's Day Parade."

"New York has been celebrating St. Patrick's Day since 1762. Dr Maureen Murphy, Professor of Curriculum & Teaching for the School of Education at Brooklyn College, tells us NY's role in in St. Patrick Day's rich history." :

You're right Bastien : although St Patrick's Day is not an American celebration (it comes from Ireland), lots of people meet in the streets for St Patrick's
parade, on March 17

If you're interested in St Patrick's traditions, you can go to "Chicago River on St
Patrick's Day" and discover what happens there on St Patrick's Day !
