St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City

NEW YORK -- "It was a sea of green, kilts and bagpipes on Fifth Avenue on Saturday as big crowds gathered under a warm sun for New York City's 251st-annual St. Patrick's Day Parade."

St Patrick's day is a very big party for the Americains, especially in New York ! There is a lot of pepole in streets !

You're right Bastien : although St Patrick's Day is not an American celebration (it comes from Ireland), lots of people meet in the streets for St Patrick's parade, on March 17 If you're interested in St Patrick's traditions, you can go to "Chicago River on St Patrick's Day" and discover what happens there on St Patrick's Day !
