NHK World is a Japanese TV channel that broadcasts news and information

on Japan's politics, business, culture, entertainment and more.

Here the journalist explains what happened to the nuclear reactor near Fukushima. His speech is both slow rythmed ans clear, and plain diagrams and pictures illustrate his explanations.

I've been noting or scribbling these Irish sayings and blessings here and there : in Ireland, or collecting others from books (sometimes magazines) and more recently from the Internet.

Some of them are close to poems, some others are rather humourous. Actually, I cannot guarantee 100% the 'Irishness' of them all... but I do hope you'll enjoy reading them ;-)

You'll also view pictures of Irish symbols in this document : can you recognise/name them ??

When Caroline Duggan -a music teacher from Dublin- started teaching in Bronx Bathgate Avenue the kids wondered why she "spoke like that". She explained it was because she was Irish ; she also showed them Riverdance classic Irish dances... and then one thing led to another. Eventually, the Keltic Dreams were born !

These "top 100 book" are shown on a Guardian infographic :

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/photobylines/2011/3/14/1300105749763/Information-is-Beautiful--001.jpg"Do Top 100 Books polls and charts agree on a set of classics ? [...] the results of over 15 notable book polls, readers surveys and top 100's both popular and high-brow [books /.../] included all Pulitzer Prize winners, Desert Island Discs choices from recent years, Oprah's Bookclub list, and, of course, The Guardian's Top 100 Books of All Time." David McCandless & Miriam Quick explain.  As a result of their frequency analysis of the gathered titles, you get this "'consensus cloud visualisation" of the most mentioned books titles.

What would your Top 100 books be ?
